Antennas
Omni
Antennas SO-1
M0-1
- Our standard 2.4 GHz antennas come with a magnetic
base
- They will not come lose in any wind or weather conditions
- They can also be permanently mounted by drilling a hole in the
base
- Standard equipment with our
wireless trailer camera system
- The standard 2.4 GHz antenna is rated at 5 dBi
- Optional omni antennas are rated at 7 dBi and 9 dBi
- A separate magnetic base must be purchased for the 7 and 9 dBi
antennas
- S0-1 panel antenna is used for stronger distance reception.
S0-1 is rated at 8 dBi
- M0-1 panel antenna is for greatly enhanced distance and for
getting through obstacles and is 12 dBi
Our standard antennas are adequate in nearly all situations.
The 7 and 9 dBi antennas are more powerful and can be used in
situations where there are barriers such as foliage between the
transmitting and receiving sites or when more power is desired for
long distances. The omni antennas are readily identifiable by
their single mast. These antennas send a signal out in all
directions and are an excellent choice for multiple receiver sites.
If you use a receiver in your home and another in a barn the omni
antennas send a signal to both locations. All of our antennas can be used for
transmitting or receiving. Although typically used on the
transmission end, they can be used with the receiver as well.
In some cases if may be necessary to purchase an antenna cable in
order to place the antenna in a clear broadcast position.
Panel Antennas
Our panel antennas are suitable for indoor or outdoor use and
extend the range and strength of your signal and reception.
When used with the transmitter, panel antennas focus the signal in
the direction you choose. The mast antennas above are omni-directional
antennas which send the signal in all directions. Panel
antennas concentrate the signal rather than dispersing it in all
directions. The S0-1 antenna is particularly useful when used
with a receiver and is part of the LD-2.4 Long system. The
M0-1 antenna is also part of the LD-2.4 Long system and is an
excellent choice for long distances or where there are obstacles
between the transmitter and receiver. Heavy tree and brush
growth can absorb a lot of the signal making the M0-1 antenna shine
with its ability to blast the signal through. The M0-1 can be
mounted on a wall, tree, roof while the most common method is on a
metal or PVC pipe or fence post. The M0-1 antenna has an N
type connector and if you wish to use it with an existing cable with SMA connectors, you will need an adapter. Our SMA to N type
cable allows direct use of the this antenna with our transmitters.
